Dear Dearest Mother venerates classic photography, the lost art of letter writing, and the relic from the battlefield. The year 2015 marked the sesquicentennial of the end of the Civil War, the seventieth anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps, and the fortieth anniversary of the Fall of Saigon. These commemorations inspired this series of still-life montages composed from the keepsakes of war and military veterans.
